The NSO presents a taste of “Distant Lands” with their performance of Alexander Borodin’s “In the Steppes of Central Asia” which evokes the high steppes of Central Asia and the meeting between Russian and Asiatic caravans. Tchaikovsky’s well-loved Symphony No. 5 incorporates themes and moods of the composer’s homeland. Cellist Kyra Saltman join as soloist in Richard Strauss’ lesser-known gem Romanze for cello and Orchestra. Join us for the sounds and passions of distant lands!
